March 13rd - 15th Kariri Xoco tribe (2 hour drive from Salvador). We will stay in this little village and experience their way of life full of joy and dance. We will get a chance to have our bodies painted with local sacred symbols and make a maraca - a sacred instrument for ourselves in a special birthing ceremony, that we will get to keep and bring home as a spiritual tool. We will also experience Jurema ceremony in the tribe: this tribe does not use Ayahuasca, but uses this different type of medicine. Jurema is sometimes used as one of the ingredients in Ayahuasca, but alone is not psychoactive, so this will not be the same as Ayahuasca ceremony, but it can still be insightful, cleansing and healing and usually after this ceremony the dreams become very vivid and can really help find some clarity.

March 15th - We will briefly visit a very special wild beach and then make the journey to our main destination, the magical Vale de Capao in Chapada Diamantina

March 16-25th we will be staying in a beautiful retreat centre, where our host will be a really special man highly experienced with the sacred medicine: he actually is the founder of the local Santo Daime church, so he has a depth of knowledge and great care for the work that we will be doing in this retreat. The village where we will be staying is a very special place itself - it is like a local hippie world in the middle of seemingly nowhere. It is full of the most special, most interesting spiritual people.

Our main guide will be Andrea Cathala - Andrea is a local healer, who has been learning the ways of working with plants and spirits for her whole life as she was raised by her grandma, who was a local healer herself. Andrea is now a madrinha in the local Santo Daime church, having already received over 200 medicine songs herself. She is also a member of the local Umbandaime church. Andrea has been guiding her own ceremonies in nature or retreats for over 15 years. She has an angelic voice and incredible depth of compassion and love for people that allows her to guide people in deeply gentle, yet profound ways. On a personal note, Andrea is one of my  spiritual teachers.

During this stay will be exploring the nature of Chapada Diamantina national park, which has some of the most beautiful nature in Brazil: we will visit many different waterfalls, will be able to explore some mountains, where rock crystals are literally just growing under your feet, as well as the local riversides and jungle areas. This will allow us to immerse ourselves in nature even without the medicine... And every 2 or 3 days we will have ceremonies surrounded by nature with Ayahuasca, which will be the time to connect even deeper with nature, but also to explore our inner worlds. In total there will be 4 Ayahuasca ceremonies during this time with plenty of time to rest and integrate.
